Went here yesterday for a date and really enjoyed myself. The gentleman I was with had been to their previous location and said that their pizza was delicious! And it was just that. We were warmly greeted as we entered their circular and open space sporting a small bar and several 1950s like diner tables that lined the windows. We sat down and checked out the menus, which were simple, but full of some great items like their mozarella sticks, cheese sticks, custom salads, and mix of meat and veggie filled pizzas.

Dalias was our waitress and she gave us tons of time to check out the menu. To start we ordered their awesome mozarella sticks. You could tell they were homemade as the crust had tons of oregano flavor and the cheese was super fresh and delicious! The marinara sauce was also fresh and hot, it just made the mozarella sticks just melt in our mouths!

Since my date is a carnivore and I am a flexatarian we were able to get half of the pizza with their meat Lovers and the other with their white with a sprinkle of spinach on both sides. Omg! This pizza was so worth the 20 minute wait--it was absolutely delicious! All the ingredients just came together so well with the oregano covered medium thick crust.

Our waitress was just so sweet and kind too! And one of the managers came out with extra mozarella sticks for us. It was just overall a great time.

Wow! I definitely will make this a stop when I am in Huntsville again. Who knew that Huntsville had amazing pizza?!?

    AVOID THIS RESTAURANT!

Came here per recommendation from a friend as the best pizza in Huntsville. Time was 12pm on a Friday. After quickly being seated, we ordered 3 pizzas. After a while, I noticed that almost no other tables had food. After 45 minutes of waiting, I only saw about 3 pizzas come out of the kitchen. No kind of food should take this long to make, especially during lunch. I don't care how authentic the restaurant is trying to maintain true to their roots of gas ovens to cook their pizza, but the waiting period is ludicrous. We saw one table leave after ordering because they didn't want to wait any longer. The server, after 50 minutes of waiting, informed us the pizzas would be ready in about 5 minutes, but with no actual reason for why it was taking so long. Horrible experience. Will never patronize this in the future, and will relay the bad experience to everyone I know. When we finally got our pizzas, it was mediocre at best. My Hawaiian pizza came with what seemed like canned pineapples, and was sorely lacking on flavor. Extremely disappointed. At least the servers were friendly?

I love Big Ed's pizza. BUT, the new location isn't big enough still! The huge windows, are a downfall without some sort of sunscreen on them. The service is under staffed and stretched too thin. The pizza is as great as ever, just hope they can get the other things in line before they lose us long time customers.

Tried for the first time, honestly don't think I'll ever be back.  I remember Big Ed's from my childhood, but this version of Big Ed's was absolutely forgettable.  I had a standard menu item pizza, and the most notable thing about it was the crust, which was like chewing on shoe leather.  I don't know if the dough was old, overworked by staff, or what the deal was, but hands down the worst crust experience on a pizza EVER.  Literally like chewing on leather, it was hard to even bite through.  They were also REALLY overboard on the sauce, which I suppose was there for flavor because the rest of the pizza had none.  I NEVER, ever shake parmesan cheese on top of pizza - but I did tonight, just to add some flavor to it.  This is a definite NOPE.  Great atmosphere, love the funky vibe of the place, friendly staff, but the food....no.

Mediocre pizza, unorganized staff and overall somewhat of a mess in operation. The staff was friendly and trying to be as helpful as they could. I own several businesses and will tell you this is NOT the fault of the staff, no one was clearly in charge, this is a management problem. Myself and family felt bad for the staff as we could see they were all clearly stressed out and frazzled. We waited almost 45 min when we're told it would be 30 at max, while we waited we watched several tables sit unoccupied. I think with proper management this would not be the review left...We left a large tip for our waiter who was trying his best, but, we will not be back.
